12/4/19 - Matagorda, TX

Today we drove to Matagorda, Texas for the yearly Matagorda Madness Rally at the LCRA Matagorda Bay Nature Park. We had a beer swap in the meeting room at night with snacks.

12/5/19 - Matagorda, TX

Jim went for a walk on the beach.   I stayed at camp because I had rotator cuff surgery and I didn’t want to trip on the sand dunes and fall.   I just recently got out of my sling.  At night we had Sip & Dip in the meeting room.  It was Nina's birthday and they had a cake for her.  Jim went to the bonfire on the beach tonight but I stayed at the Casita.  There was a beautiful sunset tonight.

12/6/19 - Matagorda, TX

When we got up it was really foggy but it burned off later in the morning.  Today we had a beach craft session in the meeting room.  We painted a piece of board with a trailer on it and then added extra items to make a really cute painting.  Tonight was dinner out somewhere but we stayed at camp.  Later they built another fire on the beach.

12/7/19 - Matagorda, TX

Jim walked on the beach again.  We had group photos at 1:00 PM and then I went to a T-shirt craft session.  We used plastic sea life to dip in paint and then print on the t-shirt.  This afternoon everyone gathered for a military funeral honors ceremony for our friend Arlis who died recently.  This ceremony was performed by members of the Port Lavaca American Legion chapter.  Tonight we had a potluck dinner in the meeting room.

12/8/19 - Houston, TX

We left early this morning to head back to Houston for the annual Foam Ranger Christmas party at Eureka Heights Brewing.
